A New Era in Systems Modeling

Designed by the OMG®, SysML v2 (Systems Modeling Language version 2) is the new systems modeling standard, improving the precision, expressiveness, and usability of systems modeling. The core strength of SysML v2 lies in enabling engineers to define, analyze, and verify systems through an integrated, formal modeling approach. Notable enhancements include:

• Formally defined semantics for greater consistency.
• Integrated textual and graphical modeling.
• Enhanced scalability, reusability, and lifecycle traceability.

How Trechoro Supports SysML v2

Now in development, Trechoro is Sparx Systems' dedicated SysML v2 modeling environment, fully aligned with the OMG® SysML v2 and KerML specifications. Sparx Systems has been closely tracking the SysML v2 development and has committed to integrating these new capabilities once the specifications are finalized.

• Native support for KerML (Kernel Modeling Language) as the foundational metamodel of SysML v2.
• SysML v2 textual notation import/export, with syntax highlighting and autocomplete.
• Bridging tools to connect UML and SysML v2 models, enabling cross-model traceability.
• A dedicated SysML v2 Features Window, free from UML artifacts to enforce modeling integrity.
• Optimized performance for large-scale, distributed systems with support from Sparx Systems Pro Cloud Server.

Planned Roadmap

The initial release of Trechoro will support all core SysML v2 element types, standard libraries, and model import/export. Looking ahead, the roadmap also includes:
